Metonym is Back!

Our Spring 2024 theme: connection. From a meaningful conversation with a friend, to a text from a loved one, to a simple nod of acknowledgement from a stranger in passing, our daily lives are filled with moments of connection. Seeking out personal relationships—with ourselves, with nature, with God—is a fundamental quality of the human experience. Through our search for connection, we find joy, a sense of belonging, new perspectives, and intrinsic meaning for our lives. What does connection mean to you? How have connections inspired or impacted you? Metonym is seeking submissions of short fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and visual art that capture the theme of connection in all of its nuance and diversity.

Our Spring 2024 issue is currently selling for $15. If you would like to purchase a copy, please mail cash or a check to the address below, and we will send you the issue. Please make checks payable to Jessup University and write Metonym Journal in the memo line.
